Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot, ya got us all worried now. Hope you is feeling ok mate xxxx

Today we did the organic market thing in the showgrounds. It was very interesting. We bought a few bits of fruit n veg. A huge custard apple was the highlight. It need a couple of days before it's ripe enough to eat, but it is a beauty. Some Russian Black tomatoes, that have such a rich flavour, will be happily consumed here.

Seemed like all the farmers and natives from far and near came to the markets and it was crowded with happy smiling people. So it was a lovely morning, well spent.

Had a huge wind storm [ass through and caused us to roll up the awnings etc, but it seems to have settled down again now. More touristy stuff tomorrow. Off to get some ugly sleep now,
so goodnight all xxx

Dot, hope you are getting the best of care xxxxxx

Went to Byron Bay today and searched the shops for some replacement happy pants. We had been to almost every shop when we found some. So happy now and I bought 4 pairs of pants on special So that's one big mission accomplished. I will still be able to wear colourful pants on my stall days and be comfortable too.

All this shopping is exhausting, so off to that warm bed.

night night sleep tight xxx

Dot, wherever you plan on moving to, make it to a better climate than down South. xxxx

Today we visited the Byron Bay Markets. What a different world. Men in singlets, bare feet and hair up in buns or in corkscrews. Women in very little clothing at all, but most interesting of all, was in a huge crowd, I only saw one lot of visible tattoos. They must worship their bodies a bit more here.
I bought a huge punnet of strawberries and they are just delicious, so fresh and sweet. The stall had huge boxes of strawberries for $10. We just didn't have enough space in our fridge for them and they deserved to be eaten fresh. I bought a double punnet for $4 and that will last a few nights, so happy with that.

All the walking around the huge markets have worn me out, so night night one and all xxx

Still no sign of Miss Dotty , so hoping all is ok xxxx

Drove down the road to Yamba today and it's really much colder and much wetter. Looks like the winter side of the shelf will have to be put back into use

Going to bed to read for as long as it takes me to thaw out,
so sleep tight you lot. xxx

You would not get that same impression if you visited the Gold Coast. There are many folk here that consider the human body a blank canvas, and cover it as they choose. Each to their own I suppose. I haven't been down to Byron for a while so can't comment on the markets but you can't beat the climate. !!!
Strawberries are so cheap at the mo' that they reckon the producers will go broke. I hope not!

Keep kicking the crap out of that white pussy Dot. Glad to see your return my dear xxxxxx

I agree the tatts story is very different on the Gold Coast, ugly bloody things. Strawberries are now so cheap that the poor farmers are amost giving them away. They work hard for their money and then the climate makes it extra challenging. A lot of strawberry farms will probably find a different crop to sow soon.

The rain is so loud on the roof at the moment that I can hardly hear myself think! ;) ;)
We move on tomorrow, down to Bellingen hopefully, so off to bed to be ready for action in the morning.

nighty night everyone xxx
