Emptied the kiln today and have it all ready to fire up next week for the second firing to make a few things bend where I want them to make a couple of business card holders and another plate. Today's plate looks good, so that's a positive start.
Tomorrow we will be off up the road to Swansea for a jayco weekend. You guessed it!...it's just started to really rain heavily! They seem to send up a weather balloon or something to set off the rain. I will be suggesting a drought tour soon. I reckon the farmers would love to see ourmob arrived, with clouds following us wherever we went!

We drove for 20 minutes, up the road with t he van following us. Now that we are at Swansea, it is quite peaceful (so far, anyway). We had a lovely meal out with friends at an all you can stuff place, an it was pretty good. So now that I am stuffed full of food, I need some sleep.

We seem to have spent the day just catching up with people and decorating the van (this is our Christmas party). We have only just left happy hours, and we reckon that there is no need for any more food. We have nibbled along for several hours and chatted for ages to many people.

Our weekend ended early this time, because we don't like to tempt the Swansea sandflies. So we headed home after breakfast. We had time to unpack the van completely before lunchtime. I did a few things in my shed in preparation for a firing soon and then we rested.

This travelling up the road is exhausting,
