Nup, I flat out refuse to do ceilings anymore. I have already had one shoulder done.

Re: Thought for Today
Kids today don’t know how easy they have it.
When I was young I had to walk nine feet through shagpile carpet to change channels.

Re: Thought for Today
I walked to school in bare feet and had to stand on 2 sticks on the asphalt during assembly.

Re: Thought for Today
Probably the same two sticks that Dave uses for painting ceilings. You lot were a frugal bunch in the day.

George I'll bet that you chose not to wear shoes.Newcastle George wrote: ↑Mon Mar 09, 2020 2:10 pm I walked to school in bare feet and had to stand on 2 sticks on the asphalt during assembly.

Jon, I'll also bet that George's stocks were flat. Not those round pole things like broomstick that you screw the roller onto.
Cheers

Re: Thought for Today
Fair point Dave, I think these are them.
I wonder if George was training to be a Geisha.
It's those little steps he takes and smiles. Never an opinion; just a nod of acknowledgement with a flutter of his fan.

Jon, you are going to be in lots of trouble when George sees that.

Re: Thought for Today
Dave, I'm guessing you meant to say sticks not stocks and yes I did choose to go barefoot. Jon, nothing that fancy.

Re: Thought for Today
Hah! You lot had it easy!
There were fourteen of us kids living in a pothole in the middle of the road.
We had to lick the hole clean before going to work in t’factory where we worked 26 hours a day for no pay.
(Apologies to Monty Python.
