Just lap belts, but retractable.

I kept all the seats more than 150mm from the side wall, so Lap belts are all that's required.
The seats are out of a Kia Carnival, the swivels and belts I bought together.

Safer than bitting it if you trip over ..... :roll: The wheel base and overhang thing can really get a lot of the inexperienced caught out. The overhang is 60% of the wheel base on a 2 axle rig, not 2/3rds as many seem to interpret and get knocked back because they are 6% over length ..... Had to help a mate rebuild the back of his rig that had been converted to a horse float and he was converting back to a motorhome, it was 66% overhang and not the required 60% :twisted: Seems the people who did the horse float conversion didn't fully understand the rules or just made the 2/3rds assumption.

The one at Murray Bridge is done at Moore Mechanical Hindmarsh Rd. We took our bus there but only after a big fight with Regency park and the police. They said I couldn't go to MB because we didn't live in the area. I won on the sheer fact that I would not risk lives by driving the bus down the hill and through the city as it had not been driven for years.. The guy that came to MB from RP was great, said the bosses down there are F heads :lol: I think the one at Mt Barker was on Dutton rd

We had a similar experience when transferring Girt’s rego from NSW to Vic.
Bought her with a 1-week-old NSW roadworthy certificate.
Presented that to local VicRoads office.
Sorry, that’s a foreign document. Has to have a VICTORIAN RWC. $300 later I returned to VicRoads.
What is the GVM?
8.1tonnes.
How many axles?
Two.
Sorry, we can’t do your rego here. We’re not authorised for heavy vehicles with more than two axles.
But it only has TWO!
Sorry, you’ll have to drive it 70km to Geelong to register it.
Presented self & Girt at Geelong VicRoads:
I hope you are authorised to count to two.
Girl: I’m authorised to count to TEN!
Good. Come and have a look at my two axles.
She brought her tape measure. After measuring all & sundry, she said “I assume when you’re not towing anything you remove the towbar.”
“Always.” I replied (fingers crossed behind back).
Then I can register it for you.

She also was able to confirm that Girt has but TWO axles. 🙄

No problem when we had a Sa registered bus went to N S W rego all good only need a blue slip 🧐

Well,.....

I had my engineer engaged from the start of my conversion. No problems. He even told me of the timing dance between him say yes, then booking the RWC inspection, which requires his certificate # on it, and, which is only "valid" for 30? days.

So, once the RWC guy says yes, I ring up the engineer and get his number, give it to the RWC guy, who writes gives his certificate with the engineers cert number, then I get the engineers to issue his certificate after confirming nothing has changed, and then book into the Vicroads all with in 28 days so nothing expires. easy peasy.

Yes ...nothing easy ....my roadworthy guy had to track down the engineer that certified the bus for rego in N.S.W. in 2016.....The engineer sent him copies of gas and electricity certs as well ...and suggested he should charge me a fee for the certs....
The Vic roads was easy ....made an appointment and fronted up with form filled in and old plates and presented to them ...all done in ten minutes ....and did not have to present the bus for them to inspection.

The "Blue Slip" is the inspection Wayne, a "Brown Slip" is just an engine and chassis number check or change, a "Pink Slip" is just the yrly rego inspection required for rego renewal ..... and before all the clever soles add their bit, you should always colour co-ordinate the skirt colour with the slip colour ... well, unless you are a millennial, then the slip could even be on the outside of contasting legin's :lol:

After being away at Kalbarri for the last 10 days the SWMBO cracked up about grass bits being tracked into the annexe area and subsequently into the van.
Then I saw the gardener chap blowing the grass into an area to pick it up.
:idea:
Small air blower.

Trip to Super Cheap to replace the impact drill with the exploded chuck, all good, and while looking for an unopened box saw the small air blower ( and it was on a special deal ) so that got bought to keep herself happy, and me not having to keep aware of grass cuttings that dared to invade Her Area ;)
That also added to my collection of appliances from there,( drill, impact gun, angle grinder and now air blower) and to use the 4Th battery and charger already at home.
