Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
Good morning everyone, we are parked at a rest area on the side of the Hume hwy about 50 km from Goulburn. We spent most of yesty just driving. Even got Terrie behind the wheel for a while. We went through the worst bit of weather I have ever had the misfortune to be caught in late in the arvo. While going through single lane roadworks near Coopernook, absolutely torrential rain, couldn't see squat. Was lucky enough to be following a few trucks that knew the road just put on the hazards and drop speed down to about 20k. Couldn't stop, or even pull off the road be c ause of earthworks. Certainly got the heart rate up for a bit, and then it just turned into normal rain , like someone clicked a switch. Anyway, happy hump day. Safe travels.
Cheers

George, just stopped at Jugiong for fuel. Will be at Mulwala this arvo.
How high is the river at Jugiong at the moment Dave? I remember is the days before the bypass was built, driving through the servo forecourts to stay above the waterline and it seemed that was just an accepted way of life for them. I also remember driving a Holden Statesman towing a camper trailer coming from Collingullie side towards Wagga and the camper trailer being at 90* to the car and trying to drag it sideways .... and I was following in the wake of a semi .....

Hi all,
The pub at Jugiong has just sold for $14M.
The Etamograh hotel at Table Top [north of Albury NSW] will re-open on the 9th December. O'nite Parking available $.
I'm at Moss Vale Showground for two nights then to Bundanoon for Christmas gathering with the Blue Wrens chapter.
I put the IVECO in for service at Beresfield [Newcastle] yesterday for its 12 month service and to fix some problems.
1. the radio does not work
A. needs new radio cost $3k
2. the abs light comes on.
3. the skid control light comes on.
4. the temp gauge starts to climb on steep hills, then the buzzer comes on and the warning reads "gearbox temp too high"
and goes into slow down mode. The gearbox locks in a gear [depends which one I'm in] and I have to come to a stop for
it to go back to first, then OK just keep going.
After stopping and restarting all normal again.
A. needs new radio. cost #3k. Maybe a upmarket from Autobarn might fix it at a cheaper price !
They will contact IVECO to see if radio can be bypassed so as not to affect the computer.
Of course its blooy Christmas and how do I get it all done?
I have to be in Wagga for eye injection at the end of January, then a driving test [85] and maybe a new radio from Autobarn somewhere.
Merry Christmas everyone.
T1, river is nothing special, a bit of water laying about, but nothing like up north.
Peter have you considered a second opinion from another service centre?
We are at Mulwala now.
Cheers

David thats the second one, I am going to try a third at Bomaderry but they appear to be more diesel mechanics.
I'll check out the radios at Autobarn and if they can be linked via the computer It might be the way to go.
Bought a flash Alpine radio st Autobarn for Girt. Her electrics are so simple the radio connects directly to the battery!
Different story with the 2016 Baleno (Suzuki)! Radio is integrated into the central display screen. No on/off switch, you just turn the volume to zero.
Had a hilarious time trying to get the voice recognition system to call a friend. Gave up and pulled over to use the phone directly. Technology is making our lives SO much easier, ain’t it?
Regards & God bless,
Ray
