Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Sirens going a few streets away from the Bunker. In fact; 2 ambulances, escorted by 4 police cars with lights and sirens all the way to the hospital. MAJOR DRAMA for this small town. Even though I didn't see any of it and only heard the commotion it was more exciting than watching the Thursday bin truck.
There is only one police officer resident in town. The additional police came from close towns North and South near Dysart.
Some of the additional police were here within 20 minutes.
Keith.
There is more than one street in Dysart :shock:
BIG TOWN T-1. not very many people but lots of community facilities. When all of the coal mines were working full peak there was 38,999 people living here, some in houses and most in the single men's camps. Now days the town population is give or take only around 2,400.

So do we… it’s just that an appointment takes 3~4 weeks. ☹️
At least we can get pi$$ed on quality wine (not Chateau Cardboard) while waiting, to take our mind off the problem… 😁

We had a heap of dry reds and dry whites .... and dry Dubliner and dry Jack Daniels and dry Fireball and dry ..... But we took all the dry ones to the glass recycler and bought full replacements with the money .... well maybe one or two were bought with that money ...... :lol:

"tanks" here---Just a Thought for Today:-
MYSELF
By Edgar Guest

I have to live with myself, and so,
I want to be fit for myself to know;
I want to be able as days go by,
Always to look myself straight in the eye;
I don't want to stand with the setting sun
And hate myself for the things I've done.
I don't want to keep on a closet shelf
A lot of secrets about myself,
And fool myself as I come and go
Into thinking that nobody else will know
The kind of man I really am;
I don't want to dress myself up in sham.
I want to deserve all men's respect;
But here in this struggle for fame and pelf,
I want to be able to like myself.
I don't want to think as I come and go
That I'm for bluster and bluff and empty show.
I never can hide myself from me,
I see what others may never see,
I know what others may never know,
I never can fool myself -- and so,
Whatever happens, I want to be
Self-respecting and conscience free.
