Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning All. 12* and clear blue sky with 22* forecast :) . I am waiting on the delivery of a combination set of hot water element and thermostat which, when I fit them, should have the HWS in our rental producing water hot enough for Sean to have a decent shower. rather than him having to come up here to have one ( only luke warm currently).

"tanks" here---
It is only 06:00 am on Thursday morning in the West, so I am awake and active early. I don't have any plans for today other than wait for the sunshine to appear. I fear that this won't happen as there has been heavy showers last night and yesterday afternoon.
I had a visit to my GP Surgery yesterday (the usual Wednesday consultation) to receive the B-12 injection and see if I am still breathing.
The GP trip was followed by a visit to the chemist and then a saunter around Coles Supermarket.

I put 3 packs of 300gm Smoked Salmon in the trolley, taking advantage of the cost saving benefit of the $17:00 per pack price. (A 100g pack is usually $9.60). The packs had a good use by date --over one month--- and the commercial pack lasts me for a week as salmon on toast with smashed avocado to make breakfast healthy and interesting. What else is there to look forward to at my age.

I went to the Community Centre wanting to join the merry widows at the weekly bingo game.
The upfront cost was $6:00 per session, which involves around 2 hours of games followed by a cuppa and a small cake.
After the $18.00 taxi ride to get there, I was informed that the Bingo was not being held due to the rain, so that was a waste of time and money.
I had to wait for 25 minutes for another taxi to take me back to the house.

So here I am today; playing with my Laptop for something to do. Pam and Jeff are preparing their breakfast and getting ready for their work, so I keep out of their way so as not to disrupt their "routine". It is too late to try to go back to sleep.
Good morning to everyone from wet, overcast and rainy Perth.
Keith.

Eddy, are you back home from your Bushtracker weekend at Horricks yet? How did it all go?
Yes Horrocks was last part of our trip - I don't have a Bushtracker. We were trying to stay in the background with our Nova & 18year old Patrol :D :D

Some almighty big rigs - those American tow vehicles are a very big unit

Some of those big rigs get a bit of speed up on those west coast highways too, don't they. I was surprised at how many there were and how much of a hurry most of them were in to get somewhere.
It looks like the west is in for a bit of ordinary weather for the next few days.

I finally have the EB Falcon back on the road. Petrol systems certainly don't enjoy sitting for long periods. It took a number of days and 3 bottles of metho to get the majority of the varnish or possibly shellac build up out of the tank and fuel lines. Went in clear, came out looking like wood stain, turned 3 chucks wipe type cloths rigid when they dried just wiping the tank out, the 3rd bottle was pumped through the fuel pipes after replacing the fuel filter, and that lot came out looking much like the stuff from the fuel tank.

Finally got the correct battery, the "cheap as crap" parts interpreter/store manager assured my that all Fords used round terminals and I must have changed the cables  and didn't appreciate that my 50 yrs in the trade was more than twice the time he had been alive and they most certainly left the factory with flat mount terminals.

A trip to Repco, and the same nonsense, gave up and bought 2 universal terminals so I could attach the flat cables ... installed the battery, pulled the plastic caps of and ... there were the flat terminal mounting spots
Started virtually first go, ran a bit rough after a while, took it for a drive into Mannum to buy a carton of "steak in a glass" and realised I hadn't fitted the new number plates :P U turn, rectified the problem, drove ok, sure didn't stop to flash, might have been 6 yrs plus of rust on the discs, still idled poorly.
A check over this morning, fuel spraying out the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hole, raw fuel being sucked into the manifold causing the rough run, so need another one of those, emptied the sludge out of the brake reservoir and wiped it out clean and refilled with new fluid, 1 ltr oil in the auto and 1 ltr in the sump and all good to go.

So now we have a vehicle that can carry more than 2 people on the road ..... the Prius is the next project after watching the predicted fuel prices over the next mth or so :o
