Re: Good morning daily
Morning all,I got up early today so I could get my fasting blood tests done BUT one lab had shut up shop and the other is not open Sat mornings, not happy Jan, have to wait till Monday now. G slept in his chair last night as he had to sit upright to cope with his chesty cough, so now he is topped up with Panadol, lemon tea cough mixture and water, Lovely sunny day by the look of things.

Re: Good morning daily
Mornin’ all.
Another cloudless sunny winter day.
Great in some respects, but in the past three months we have had ONE millimetre of rain!
The garden is suffering, and it seems a tad crazy that it’s winter and we’re still using the watering system and lawn sprinklers!
The ground is so dry that the kikuyu is not recovering where the girls have their running tracks around the back yard garden beds.

Re: Good morning daily
You need a bore down deep enough to pull water from the river, the water table has to be close to that level or the river would dry up.Greynomad wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2024 11:26 am Mornin’ all.

Time to teach the girls how to dig in one spot rather than run around, or put the challenge to the local mens shed to build a circular running track that you can attach an auger drill so the girls get their running exercise and you get the bore dug. Once they reach water, you can swap out the drill bit for an https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archimedes%27_screw so they lift water to a tank during the daily exercise routine ...... you could even hire the whole drill rig out to others and just have a pump rig built instead ...... Whatayathinka eh, as long as you ignore physics, anything is possible

Re: Good morning daily
Ray, my sister gave Mum & Dad a red kelpie, he was considered no good as a sheep dog on the property that they were managing, if Dad was in the yard with Dusty he would lie near him but the minute he was left alone he had a track around their garden that ended up a trench, he use to chase flys or anything that moved, eventually Dad asked her to take him back, he ended up a good guard dog chained on a run near their poultry yard, unfortunately a few years later a snake finished him off.
George your eyes certainly are looking better, hope they are feeling better too.
Dot you’d better keep away from George, so many people wearing masks again.
