Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Is a fake AI computer really fake ?
Or,.... is this a chicken and an egg story?
The mind boggles.

We need a definition of a fake AI computer ..... is that one that operates using human intelligence? In that case, it would just ignore it as irrelevant and outdated ;) An abacus on the other hand, might be a real threat, you can't just unplug or power it down .......

What if you gave an AI computer, synthetic drugs .... then played Pink Floyd to it and asked for its interpretation of an intelligent organic brain's optical internal responses https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOo-Hyxcy1o

You'd probably get a Monty Python video.
I think synthetic/psychedelic drugs probably started the "if you can think it, we can can build it" culture.
But then, some people blame the German and American military powers for the invention of drugs like heroin, methadone and LSD. And I'm sure there's more that we really don't know about yet.

I recall reading some time ago that Alice in Wonderland was converted into Computer language and a Cray Super Comp was tasked to interpret it,
I believe it took 2 months to come out with a logic that humans could understand.
I believe NOT LOGICAL and uninterpretable was the response.
I didn't read of it going any further.
Mainly because the whole story is so illogical, that it appeals to many humans.

Have you ever noticed that “racecar” spelled backwards is still “racecar”?

From the international MG forum:
I traded in the Magnette, my wonderful MG5 today. It broke my heart to see it go. OK it’s been reliable, cheap to run and good to drive. But what really broke my heart, as a stereotypical Scot, was seeing it go with the battery half full.
I burned my bloody lips trying to syphon some charge back out. No one’s ever mentioned that in the safety instructions 😡

When I got married, my previous girlfriend asked me to return her collection of Buddy Holly records.

Well. That’ll be the day!
