Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

I talk to myself a lot.
Then I know I'm talking to someone of equal intelligence ( when they're listening that is )

I often talk to myself.
Because sometimes I need expert advice.

My grandmother told me there were two rules for a successful career:

1. Never divulge all your information at the start.

2.

What does Honey Burbon, Durif and Duct tape have in common?

I can think of a few:
1) not many things they can't fix
2) after a while all three will silence stupid or at least make it tolerable

Unfortunately, none of them will actually fix Stupid, I tend to think the application of the "DarwinTheory" eventually works, but waiting for that to finally work out can sometimes exceed the tolerance levels of a Saint ( which I'm not ) and it's pretty much only the thought of Jail-time keeps them alive, although I'm reaching the age where the State Run Benefits are starting to look better than the old age pension

Yeah, the nanny system has a lot to answer for, the Darwin method would have ended that branch of the gene pool some time ago .... I'm all for a regular flush of the gene pool ;)
The bloke from OH&S that came through the workshop early on, wasn't prepared for my response that Darwin and a mop would solve most of the potential problems he tried to make out I needed to add yet another level of protection against, the response that stupid tends to self-eliminate if the protectionism regime was wound back a bit, made the copper laugh, but not so the inspector .... but I got a good laugh from seeing his reactions

Times are tough:

In a recent article I read :
It is with great sadness that we have to mention the loss of a number of businesses due to the tough economic times.
A local bra manufacturer has gone bust
A food blender manufacturer has gone into liquidation
A local dog boarding kennel has called in the retrievers
An origami training school has folded
and Big Jim gardening are pruning a number of branches and cutting back their services
In other news, the local ice cream man was found covered in sprinkles and strawberry sauce, after a relationship failure, it appears he topped himself ....
