Good morning everyone. Its going to be another humid drizzle and rainy day here. If we're lucky the sun will show itself.
I'll be thinking of you today Bernie.
Safe travels all those out and about.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning 22c, grey cloudy sky 1mm rain predicted this AM still waiting for it to fall
24c maximum.
Dressing came off the nose y’day, surgery still tender, sore when I move the area, told to keep it moisturised with papaya cream, purchased same from skin clinic, stopped at Coles enroute home & it must of fallen from the back of my car, fortunately I did already have a smaller tube at home.
Bernie you’ll be thinking of all the good times that you had with your bro, he is free from pain & suffering, probably catch up with family & other folk, you’re allowed to shed a tear or two.

Do you just need to hold the screws so you can get the nuts undone on the outside Dave? I bought one of these, but with a longer flex shaft, for getting the bolts out that hold the coils in on the V10. https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/too ... WxJMMmWH2g

Re: Good morning daily
My problem is that I can't get my arm in behind the tv far enough. There is a 100mm diameter vent in the adjacent cupboard. I just can't get my arm in far enough to access the 4 mounting screws. If my arm was 200mm longer I wouldn't have a problem, I'd just a little more weird than usual. I'll try to get a pic to show my dilemma.T1 Terry wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 9:04 am Do you just need to hold the screws so you can get the nuts undone on the outside Dave? Picture or pictures please!
Isn't it mounted on a swing bracket?
If not, a lot of those wall mount brackets use a lift & slot in attachment. Install the bracket first & then just slip in the TV.
Ask Brian? He installed his upside down & nearly lost his TV!!
Long screw driver from below to loosen the 'lock' & then lift off.

Robert, Lucas paw paw ointment is based on petroleum jelly and wax. Gave away using it decades ago when discovered it contained petroleum jelly as the base and was having slight reactions to it, way back they didn't say anything about it containing petroleum jelly on the label. Only found out when reading an article in a magazine before the internet, not sure if they state it on the label today.RobertNotBob wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 11:10 am Shirley when buying paw paw ointment use only the Lucas brand the cheap ones use petroleum jelly as a base. Shirley, have found over the years the best natural ointments to use are, Suvana organic paw paw and honey balm great for cuts etc, Thursday plantations Tea tree and Manuka honey balm and for repairing skin to stop scaring and for burns and improving skin condition, Aloe Vera. You can buy Suvana online or through certain chemists, same with Thursday island products. Buy my Aloe Vera in bulk lots of 4-10lt, it lasts forever in the fridge and is great for keeping your skin smooth and in good condition. Also use it after shaving and surfing if I don't wear my Gath hat, have no wrinkles on my face. For burns, just stick the part under cold water for a couple of minutes, pat dry and put Aloe vera on it. It will heal without scaring and is extremely soothing. Another thing that really helps with healing and skin care is using a near infrared light, which stimulates the healing process and they say is also good for helping hair growth. They can be bought on ebay cheap and last many years, they come in the form of squares you suspend over the area or you body. Have a couple and they are suspended over a massage table, so can get full body coverage and it seems to help keep my skin looking much younger and flexible.
Not sure about the hair growth though, but my receding hair seems to slowed considerably since using this method and it's actually thicker and grows pretty fast. Did an experiment with the near infrared lights, put them above my head when watching a western movie in the morning after surfing and whilst eating breakfast. Only time will tell if it helps hair growth.
My grandmother once told me, if you get bitten by something or hurt by a plant, nature will have a cure close by as it always balances itself out. During my life have found that to be true, problem is knowing what to look for and how to use it. Eucalyptus oil is a prime example and in this country it's all around us. If you get a tick, which my dogs seem to get every now and then when rummaging in the bush, just put some eucalyptus oil on or rub a couple of leaves on the tick and it will drop off after a short time. Also buy eucalyptus oil in bulk online and the 2lts bought nearly 20 years ago still have over half. It also works on mosquito bites soothing them and then put Aloe Vera on them and they go away and really helps sore muscles.
Have yet to work out what the remedy is for tiger snake bites, which we have in abundance. See them almost daily this time of year, but they don't hassle us and the dogs know to steer clear of them, which they do luckily. When it comes to Echidnas, that's a different matter, Bindi watches them for a while them moves on, but Dax, he has to get close and really investigate them. This makes them puff up their spikes and dig into the ground. Once Dax decide to get really close, only to have a spike hit his nose, he jumped back throwing his head around then rolled in the grass with his head. Hasn't got as close since.
Crap day for surfing, so will unpack the side car today and move the bus to the workshop to get it ready to paint. Took the starter batteries out of the truck to start the bus, Just have to decide the colours to use, got some watyll paint samples and can get the epoxy paint tinted to suit the colours I want. May even try adding some metallic into it, but will experiment first to see how it comes out, probably end up with a multi coloured metallic 6x4 trailer been converting to carry band gear. The big trailer is up for sale as it's so huge, without a band and getting a smaller bus no need for it.
Have a lovely day everyone, Bernie understand your feelings at this time, never a good time when losing those we love and sadly we have to go through a grieving period. Find if I concentrate on the positive aspects of the departed one and the great time we had with them, the grieving is easier to handle and doesn't wear us down as much. But we can't escape the feeling of lose and that's what gets to us the most.

My old Ridgeback poked her nose into one. She had these miniature drops of blood on the nose from the pin pricks!Once Dax decide to get really close, only to have a spike hit his nose, he jumped back throwing his head around then rolled in the grass with his head.

Re: Good morning daily
It's a flush mount kind of thing. There is a vertical bracket about 65mm wide in the middle of it. It's quite difficult to get a proper idea of how it is all fitted up. The only way I can see in is to take a video on my phone. It's pretty dark in there. Might get the spotlight in there this arvo.BruceS wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 10:18 am Picture or pictures please!
