I just found the full story of that tiny dice on Farcebook.
It's amazing that something so small can even be fabricated. It sure wasn't done on anything I've even used.
Reminds me of a story about a drill.

This morning's post disappeared .
We'll be going to see our son today, they have said he may get a leave pass on Monday... that will only happen if they can control his heart rate.. time will tell..
Didn't get up to much yesterday, I fiddled with the TV trying to make it safe juring travel...it works but don't look good , plus the normal watering of the gardens and the veggie patch...I'm bringing in around 6 tomatoes every second day... and the main plants have still to ripen.
That's about it for the day.

Good morning everyone, from sunny Pipers Creek Vic.
It's been a worrying few days but it seems that we still have a house on the GC.
Everything is a bit wet, and the power is out, but that's happened before. It looks like there are a lot of road closures up that way. The highway is closed between Ballina and Coolongatta, if you can believe Live Traffic. Here's to hoping one of my neighbours has a generator and is feeling generous.
We'll probably start heading home tomorrow.
Bernie, I hope the news with your son continues to be good.

I'm trying to convince myself to spend the big bucks and buy a laser welder ...... the depth of penetrate with so little heat required is next level. Watching some of the advanced videos, where the put a small bevel on the piece being attached and grinding a weld line in the solid piece it is being welded against, then cutting it and acid etching it to see the weld depth and shape ..... the penetration borders are hard to define, it's like the joint was moulded in a single casting. Destruction testing results in the two pieces deforming and tearing to metal some distance away from the weld affected areas .....

I watched a few at a welding specialist equipment shop, but $5,000 at the entry level and over $20,000 for a fabrication shop unit, I can see the value for money in a fabrication shop, a single pass weld done in the time it takes to do the route run in a 5 layer weld, clear penetration line at the back of the weld and no undercut at the weld edges .... simply amazing stuff. The process welding robots, once instructed by watching the welding professional put down a perfect weld, can then repeat that every time, no getting tired or distracted, no needing a coffee or lunch break, one master welder is all that is required to set each machine up to do that particular weld ....... The days of master ticketed welders will become a mega $$ job with not that many positions available, pipeline welding I'm guessing will be the first get into this new age tech .....

Good morning everyone.
We went and visited our son at the hospital.
He is wired up to a monitor, top line being the heart rate.
Which was going from high nineties to he said 170 when he has to go to the loo..
That's a scary number and I don't think they will let him out tomorrow... his breathing was around 30 also not a good number... mines about double that...
Our daughter arrived and we left to give them some one on one... they are close...
We went and had lunch at the Tavern in Hervey Bay, best Barramundi I've had since we were in Daly Waters in the NT.. plus a trip to Bunnings..
Apparently we needed more pot holders
So that's what we got up to yesterday
But today it's bacon and eggs for breakfast

Good morning everyone. Once again from sunny Mulwala. It's dry and dusty down here with no sign of rain.
We had plans of leaving today to head home, but most of the ways north are closed somewhere. I've checked on Google maps and Live traffic NSW, they all show the same thing, closed roads everywhere.
All the best for a full recovery for your son Bernie.
