Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dalek defence methods:

1) Run upstairs, no longer practical with the introduction of assessability ramps

2) Confront them while blurting out "Exfoliate, Exfoliate" while waving your arm out at head height holding a tube of VEET ......

I had a 'gasp and horror' moment today. There is a new Trivago ad on the local TV. I had seen it in the UK, but had hoped it wouldn't turn up here. Plenty of big white teeth in it still.
On a side note, there are quite a number of ads that we see on our TV that are also on British TV.
The Cadbury ad where the female console operator at the servo says 'love you dad', on our TV is the same in UK, except she says something different. Which, unfortunately I couldn't work out.
Cheers

Dave,
You’re not alone.
Took me THREE MONTHS to work out that she says, “Love you, Dad.”
It seems that, a couple of months after the release of that ad, it was replaced by a new version with clearer audio.
Once I had worked it out the clearer version appeared after a few weeks.
Soundtrack was still muffled for several weeks before the noticeably clearer version was aired.

I never knew that… 🤪🙄

At least they will keep your cautions warm… 🤣
(They forgot the colon after “Caution”)

Have not figured out what you have been saying but I will say there is a "caution" if you go near my "colon"

Dottie,
Without a : after the first word, the sign appears to say they are Caution heaters. Keeping your cautions (or colon) warm does sound like a good idea! But… :?
They are overhead mounted, so you would need to do a handstand (and spread your legs) to get ‘the area’ warm. Not an edifying sight, methinks.

The sign SHOULD read, “CAUTION: Heaters are HOT.”
