David,
Did you get to Nagambie? The caravan park (and most of the town) is owned by Gerry Ryan, the man who owns Jayco. The op shop is one of the best we have been in, for super cheap stuff of good quality.
Enjoy the driving round mate
Deborah, we did make it to Nagambie, just around lunchtime.
Sadly, most of the shops aren't open on Mondays. Even the pubs weren't open today. Luckily for me, the Rowing Club was open and the beer was cold. It was reasonably priced too, I thought $8.50 for a schooner was OK, as opposed to the $11 I got slugged for the same thing in Geelong.
We are at the G'day C/Pk which is adjacent to the National Rowing Regatta centre. All the facilities are reasonably new, which is understandable as this place would have been 2 metres underwater when the big flood came through a couple of years ago. It's only $33 p/n at the moment, which is pretty cheap for a c/pk.
We will be back in Mulwala later today.
