The bigger and better it is, means it will have a higher valuation, equating to higher annual rates and insurances 'forever'.
This is triggering a lot of downsizing because the pensioners have no way of funding the ever increasing costs.

Insurance will be the big one, especially if they use the postcode as flood risk assessment rather than the fact the house is well above any potential flood, if the water ever got close to that high, it would pour down the highway and drown Adelaide before our house was flooded. Not saying it could never happen, but the resulting damage to infrastructure would make the area unliveable anyway ... so we would be back to living in the Winnie ..... personally, I'd be happy living in Winnie, just a yard and workshop would do mejon_d wrote: ↑Tue Sep 30, 2025 2:33 am Good, lots of things happening.
