Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Don't think young Murray got shafted Dot if he had opened up his steering a little they would have gone side by side to the next corner where he had the inside run.

Bob

I was watching the race and it looked like Murray was winning so I went outside again, when I came back in G told me what had happened so OK I accept your explanation Bob but to a ford20170929_1604.JPG
Dot i saw a video that shows how big the hole MURRAY left if Goulding didn't have a go he wouldn't be a racing car driver.

Gee that seems a long time ago

I don't think it was so much him not having a go, but when he hit Murray, he should have been forced to redress being that close to the end of the race ....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3maH6VUTgw

If Murray had cut back in and closed the gate on Goulding, all three in the lead position would have been out of the running because Goulding would have hit him at the rear of Murray's car and spun him across the track in front of Goulding and taken out the eventual race winner ..... then Murray would have been scene as the bad guy ...... Because he didn't redress, he should have got a drive through penalty ....

My view on it is that there wasn’t enough room for Murray to attempt the overtaking manoeuvre.
He should never have tried.
A 10 second penalty should have been applied.

After a busy day, we enjoyed a bit of socialising with neighbours over a bottle or four of the local product. 🍷
It is now time to recuperate with the antidote. 🛌
So it’s goodnight from me,
And it’s goodnight from him.
🥱😴💤

Gee Dot, that pic is interesting. Not quite the freshest pic but good anyways. Lettuce in exchange for lemons, sounds like a good swap to me xxxx

Our first day of travel was good but had a shhhhht start. We had the van up on the street getting the last of the freezer foods loaded when a neighbour who we don't really know well, came up to his lordship and said "what are you gonna do about your foot path full of weeds? All the street is now full of your weeds" He started to get very cranky sounding and aggressive and then I heard his nibs say: "Look mate , you're welcome to spray it but we are not here this week, It will get done when I can do it" Obviously he is a master of great timing, to have carried on like that at the time we were clearly leaving. I expect to return to a foot path full of dirt and sand in need of turfing .

We arrived safely and happily at our park with no further dramas, until I received a text from our rich neighbour. Demanding to know what was sprayed on our citrus trees this morning as some of it went over her van and now it won't come off. She could have asked him when she watched him doing it. It was a mix of canola oil, detergent and water ( for the flamin stink bugs) and probably would not have caused any damage if she hadn't sprayed cold water from the hose on it and set the oil. Guess that one will have to be sorted later on in the month.

Last night we really had the storm that Nigel sent us. It was full on rocking and swaying in the old van and was a scary hour, quite a doozy, but soon passed. Was woken this morning by our tenant with the sad news that part of our ancient greenhouse didn't do too well in the storm. Not a big problem, but that makes three disasters, so we expect the rest of this trip to be good. We have had enough dramas now.

Tonight we went out for dinner at the local golf club with our mob. It was really good to just relax and enjoy their company..

night all xxx
Deborah

Sorry Terry but Goulding was partly alongside Murray when he closed the gate, or he would have hit him in the rear,
All other penalties for similar things got 5sec so why should he redress. ( wish I knew how to put up video)

How many tears were shed during "The Notebook" Dot? All staying well down there? xxxx

Had a good day here, The sun was shining and the wind was blowing. Had a wonder around town and went up to the beach. The waves were pretty erratic and big. Tonight I can hear the roaring of them in the van. We had a hamburger for lunch at his lordships suggestion. That's 2 in one week. Probably won't have another for a long time, but he enjoyed the first one on Friday, so why not?

Had many hours in the camp kitchen for happy hours and it was really enjoyable. A bit like a campfire with no smoke.

Sleep in day tomorrow, so will be prepared for our next road trip North in Tuesday.
nighty night xxxx

Wow only 2 hrs and 15 minutes on the phone to my mate in NZ tonight. George and I have roughly 10 more wheelbarrow fulls of mulch left to distribute but for now the front is all finished and just a little bit to do on the other side of the house. Boysonberries have started to form yummo, tomato plant and strawberries all doing ok so far. Have moved the bus so no flat spots, run the genny and diesel heater, and have started to put stuff back in for a few days away To see the Bathurst video it can be seen on Google. T1 I think Bobr is correct. We had pizza for tea tonight, I got through all apart from the crust. Saw our resident lizard today and Brian was looking at it as if to say "where have you been?" it's a year since it was here under the garage, that is the only reptile that is allowed in the yard. Deborah sounds like your neighbours are going through menopause, but plain sailing now the 3 yucky things have been and gone :D The lemon tree is loaded so I squeeze the juice out and freeze it for when needed. Up early tomorrow to get bloods done again. It is now raining good oh. Time to tidy the bench up a bit now then a nice shower then bed e buys so Goodnight everyone :D x Goodnight Busman x :D What have you been up to? P.S. The film night did as it always does Deborah and a few tissues were used.

Hi.Had a few busy days. The local garden club runs a "high tea" as a fundraiser for the RFD during rose festival and as they are all getting older I offered to help. Still a lot of ladies there but only three blokes for the heavy work. Had 143 people book so we catered for 200 and got 180 on the day. They raised $4,300 for RFD. A lot of work setting it all up for two and a half hours. Luckily we scored a near perfect day.

Didn't go to the high tea as drinking tea out of fancy cups, eating cup cakes and songs from the 50's musicals is not my scene. Goodnight All Cheers John
