Which one of them Dave .... or all of them? The days of swinging a mattock are far behind me, the back would last a few minutes under that sort of torture, probably the rest of me as well
A few mins with the chainsaw along the top of the hedge does me in these days .....

Maybe just get the miniature sized mattock. Kinda like using a hammer. I'll find a link.

Of course you could saturate the stump with cooking oil and eucalyptus oil mix, that kills just about anything without damaging the environment. If you ever get a tick, just put eucalyptus oil on it and it will die and drop out within a few minutes. We had an invasion of spanish heath a few years ago, this is very hard to stop, council told everyone to use round up and a couple of other deadly sprays. I rotary hoed the thousands of small plants, slashed the big ones and put eucalyptus oil and veggie oil on the stumps, they died. Had to rotary hoe for a few years as they popped up from their seeds which can last in the ground for 7 years, now completely free of them and the same for other invasive species I found when first bought this place.

The parts that aren't concrete, are pack down very solid, but we will see how we go.
