I wouldn't be betting my life on it that it is too far south for crocs, about the same latitude as Bowen and there are crocs south of there  There may not be lots of them but it only takes 1. I have seen a croc on a coral cay 20 miles off the coast :?

I lived in Karratha for 5 years, and we had several crocs sighted at Point Samson. In fact a big fella lives( or used to live ) inJohn's creek. Also had them at Coral Bay.
I have fished in that lagoon where you had the kayak, and often thought "what an ideal spot for a big croc to live."

Yeah Shirley they are mind you they taste different to the eastern lobsters and even the other local one Ornate Lobster. Some don't like them but to me it's a Lobster and therefore worth inhaling!!!!!

Hi All ,I smile if you worried about things like that ,we would all be standing on shore looking. Go for it....
There arnt any croc. here in the winter time ,the water is so cold, sharks, well just shine the torch in its face so it carnt see where you are......
Stood on a small stingray last night ,that was a little sore , had to gritttt teeth for a little while , put foot in very hot water for half hour ,2 panadol and all good this mornin.. Better than a bite from a croc. I guess !!!!
You just have to have a sence of adventure to holiday here or it can be so borring.....

Fun loveing Bob n Bev in the wa winter sun......

Our usual trip to fetch our water found this sign with appreciation from the wonderful
Devils Creek Gas plant managements supply of water to 40 mile campers asking for gold coin donation which is then matched $ for $ by the gas plant......this is just 3 months worth for RFDS good hay? Could not be more appreciative of the gas plant supplying this excellent water to us
