Nice call Tanks & Russell, make sure they go through everything with you Tanks, when we bought our Winnie we had no idea of anything in the thing and boy did they do us well. Before we took delivery we paid an indipendant ?mechanic to go over the whole rig, hmmmm there was a quick tynan talk on the fridge, loo and the bed and that was it (never thought to ask too much as we knew what to ask) he drove us to the highway and said "That's your way home" and that was it.. Stopped in CP the night and figured out a few things but found no tv control, no books on the appliances etc and when we got home we booked it into the truck & bus place for a service & another check over,, spare tyre = buggered and no jack either so be a pit bull and make them go all through everything with you.. We were even told to check the oil if they tell you it has just had a service   Hope Mr Russell enjoys his new abode, should be a good "chick puller" for you both hey what?? Have a merry Christmas in your new home and enjoy your travels :D :D

Had a phone call from Tanks late yesterday afternoon. He was going to drop in for a few days as Dottie told him we lived close to Newcastle  We live 100km the other side of Sydney so at least 200km out of his way.... but I guess we live closer to Newcastle than Tanks or Dottie
Tanks is giving Russell driving lessons so he can follow behind in the Sprinter.... maybe he'll have to A frame it when Russell has his naps
Hope the Iveco is everything you'd hoped for and more Tanks, that will be an impressive array of vehicles in the driveway when you get home, 2 rollers, 2 Iveco's and a Sprinter.

I received an email from Dot with Tanks' mobile number. I have phoned several times but no answer. He is heading for Australian Motor Homes and therefore will pass within a km or so of our place.

After hearing so many sad stories of some of the breakdown with these flash looking units from Europe I'm not interested in owning one.
A friend here in Kingston just had $17,000 worth of work done on a Mercedes Sprinter. (under warranty!!)
Another one had a Renault that he uses for business purposes. It looks the same as a Sprinter. Massive engine failure at 180,000km.
One consolation with an Iveco is that there are many more agents across the country. Iveco is Fiat I think? (shudder?)

"tanks" here T-1 Terry---actually a Jaguar-XJ-R, 3 Rollers vis:1 x Silver Shadow, and 2 x Silver Spurs. I hope to trade/sell the Sprinter here in NSW.
After the drive I have just completed in the past 6 days, 200 km's is just down the road.

Man that brings back happy memories of successful board rooms. No arguments and no tears - Muster was just happy to be included. :D

Reminds me of a blue healer though that could make decisions - one bark for right, two for left. He was a guide dog for a blind driver until he barked three times and they both went off the end of a wharf and ended up in the water. He had a short career.

Why not drop by the island on your way to Terry's? I'll send you a pm.

I have had a few beers with Keith while he had some lunch at our local Bowling Club. He will be able to free camp near the tennis courts opposite until time to pick up new vehicle on Monday.

"tanks" here---the man at Australia Motorhomes has checked me in at 08:00am Monday for a 4 hour course/induction of the Iveco.
I had a quick look-see at the Iveco today just to see what I am buying and I am pleased with what I can see of it so far. Roll on Monday for the full works and jerks.

Now the problem is to work out what to do with the Sprinter after I take delivery of the Iveco. Does anybody want a cheap Sprinter ?.

Too tired to be concerned with it now, perhaps after a good sleep over the weekend my brain will function again.
Great food at the Bowling Club just down the road from N-Georges place where I had lunch, and I plan to have a Roast-of-the-Day for dinner tonight. You can see the electric trains fly past to unknown places. You get this in big cities !
