"tanks" here---
I won't go over bridges, seas, or oceans to have a feed of fish & chips.

I have just returned to the parking spot after a pleasant evening with NEWCASTLE GEORGE & HIS CHARMING WIFE, (who moped up the blood), but that is another story and I will let George explain the details. .

George walked me home across the park and "Russell" was very pleased to see me when I got back to the Sprinter.
We have previously scheduled the Bowling Club for a roast dinner on Sunday night, if George is able to show his battered face, less the blood and gore.
I SURE LEAVE AN IMPRESSION WHEN I VISIT FOLKS !!!

Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Uh, Dottie,
Newcastle George lives in NEWCASTLE (Kotara to be precise) not Sydney...
Tanks dined at the bowling club "just down the road from N-George's".
It's been quite a few years since I revisited my home town, so I'm guessing Kotara now hS a bowling club. Kotara Shopping centre was still under construction last time I visited!
Regards & God bless,
Ray

"tanks" here ---Dot, no punch involved kid, and no broken bones this time, although It was a self inflicted injury, and yes George was a perfect gentleman and made his dinner guest very welcome.

Kotera is now a much developed location. What was once a woolstore is now a major sprawling shopping complex. The Bowling Club is adjacent to the football oval and the Tennis Club and Courts are just below the electric train station.
The parks along this strip of land are well lit and a popular place for the "day parkers", some of them bring their children to play on the swings and slides.

Ray, Kotara shopping centre is now called Garden City use to be Kotara Fair it has been extended a couple of times from memory into a very large complex must be a long time since you visited the old home town as it has been there for many years, on the other corner is a huge super centre which extends right up to the railway line.
We use to live on the Hill in Newcastle 42 yrs ago, we owned a milk run serving Adamstown & Lambton our youngest son was born at the Mater, it is a great town & has everything.
Worth another visit to see the lovely foreshore & development.

Just how far out of Sydney do you have to go before you are considered to be somewhere else?
As far as Adelaide? So when are you moving Dot?

Here's the story.

Keith wanted to know which drug I was taking to combat shortness of breath due to emphysema however, my prescription was in the bus so I went to get it. On leaving the bus I was studying the two prescriptions that I had in my hand while walking along the side of the bus when I came face to face with the door that I had evaded prior to entering. See pic of door. keith has pics of the damage to my face.

Too bloody hot in SA. We are triple the distance from Sydney than you are from Adelaide. 10 minutes from either the Pacific Ocean or Lake Macquarie while being 1km from a major shopping centre and some 5km from a major hospital.
