Dot, I would suggest that the tension on the belt in the pic is satisfactory. It certainly looks like Gman is pressing hard enough.

Lower pic is G pressing down and with the VC it showed 10mm that is the same thickness of both the belts.
(I also did the press test and got the same reading) ;)
Now lift the belt, it's the total distance from all the way up to all the way down, to mee they look like they need a bit of adjustment still as that is not a very long run between the 2 pulleys but you can still get that much movement.

So now you want me to venture out into the darkness of the night and pull my belts up :lol: Not gunna do that till the light of day cuz if I do that Pete will start talking . I presume we are talking mm's the shop manual just says 10-15.

OK have done the up pull and of course the down push with mod - strong pressure and the tolerances seem to be within the limits prov the 10-15 was mm :)

You have no idea of the starting point Chuckie, it might be that's all the blood the skinny bugger has available so 10mm to 15mm flex is as solid as he can get the flag pole over such a length ;) :lol:

I asked Wendy if you had the same hitch but she wasn't sure. They certainly made short work of hitching up their car.
