Who do I send the bill to, it was my Mazda I was working on when it happened. A look at the accident scene this morning it appears the cutting disc must have jammed and shattered and it was the reinforcing fibre bits sticking out of the blade that did the damage, that is why the hole was so wide but not cut through the bone. The wound site is only along the knuckle of the index finger where it joins the hand, what looked like a cut through the webbing between the fingers was actually the slab of flesh torn out of the knuckle. The doctor must have been economising with the amount of thread used as it looks more like the stitching back in the hand sown chaff bag days  That Endone certainly puts a different view on things, still hurts like hell if I don't keep my hand above eye level but trying to get my head around a schematics I was drawing up for a controller I was building sort of looks like this the Lucas electronics schematic to me now

Just got home, left here at 9.30am headed to the big smoke, found a car park then entered the hallowed law courts after going through the security stuff (I went off like a bomb due to the screws in the back) G had his dilly bag of goodies to eat while we waited, spoke to the nice sheriff about us going into the court room and he said no worries so in we went, entertaining video links from jail :o (what an eye opener) anyway the time arrived for the next influx of rat bags and "IT" was there, his face when once again saw G and me sitting there waiting for him :D . It took roughly 3 minutes for the magistrate to say "Your lawyer could not attend today , bail continued and the next appearance will be in 6 weeks " that was that so off IT scurried into the lift but we cought up with iT outside making a ph call so I fixed my eyes onto his face as we walked past. The magistrate did say there were 5 charges against IT. So the saga continues but 20 yrs of waiting is all worth it. His wife wasn't there again to support the "love of her life that god had forgiven" She is terrified of coming face to face with me and I love the feeling of control over them.
Just checked the calendar & looks like either the last week in April of first week in May... hopefully that will not interfere with Gum Bend. :?

I doubt it! No real reason for Dot to be there unless she has to give evidence? Should be easy enough to find out the verdict/sentence?

I'll keep that in mind Kay, just in case it ever stops throbbing. As expected, it now appears as though an infection has set in and knuckle, finger and surrounding area are quite swollen adding the he over all effect by pulling the stitches tight. Still, could have been a lot worse that's for sure, so I'll keep popping these lovely pills alone with all the other medication that seems to accumulate as the yrs roll past and spend Easter at home.

Terry I hope they really cleaned out the original wound and have you on good broad spectrum anti biotics? Chuck, the set date was the 14th May, as the magistrate said that, G & I looked at each other and mouthed the F bomb (well I did  ) but as we were leaving the court room we decided our forum friends are more important than Mr Scumbag and the next appearance is not the big hoo ha. There is a few more steps to go before the big one. Plus if IT doesn't see us for the next appearance he might feel sort of relaxed thinking we have had enough ;) And there you were thinking you motley crew were safe

Umm..... it was fairly deep and self flushing using the vital claret at a reasonable rate, so digging out pieces that didn't belong were not high on the priority list. Once the x ray was done and that gave the all clear that I hadn't sliced through the bone on the knuckle the doc deadened it and put 4 bag stitches in, I doubt he will progress on to cosmetic surgery some how, but I was very thankful for the repair all the same. Just means my dream of being a hand model is dashed now  The nurse at the doctors surgery to day did not have the gentle touch I was hoping for either, but I guess my fingernail marks in the ceiling will be talked about for a while. The flesh reduction and tie back together has removed all the wrinkles in the back of my hand and across the knuckles though, so at least my left hand will look 10 yrs younger 8-)

Well all I can say is F me what a crappy quack, when it comes to cuts on bone that is the perfect "in" for all sorts of bugs and dirt from the original dirty weapon. Most times the wound is flushed with sterile water and any foreign matter is taken out even if that means going to theatre. My nephew jumped off the tray of the truck and landed on the star dropper right up through his inner thigh/groi to the bone, the GP got the numb drugs on board then got the old scrubbing brush (sterile) and literally scrubbed all the dirt, rust etc out with heaps of sterile water and betadine then he sprinkled AB powder into the wound and stitched it up. Course of AB's & not one bit of trouble with the wound. Bone is the worst thing to get any infection into so just be watchful of the wound else there will be one less finger to bite the nail off. Just sayin
Kay, they will go broke but Leslie will come to their rescue

What will we do without the Easter winery restock  I guess we will just have to do the rounds after Taggerty on the way back to Gum Bend 8-)
It won't be a finger removal Dottie, it's the knuckle on the back of the hand so they might need to lop it off at the wrist. For over 5 yrs after tearing the flesh out of the left forearm in a bike accident I had bits of gravel come to the surface in the form of a sore and a lump of blue metal would come out and the sore heal up, arm didn't fall off and still seems to work ok, just the funny bone is a tad more sensitive in that arm. There was that much grease and crap around the wound site and they did their best to clean up, but it is probably where the infection came from, hope the AB's sort it out cause the swelling is adding to the pain level quite a bit.
