Chuck and Katriana, we are near Gympie Qld (Gunalda) Housesitting on a beautiful 30 acre property on the mighty Mary River, until October, we are having 2 stints here and the first one has ended then we'll come back in 5 weeks for a 2 month stay again. Would LOVE to see you if you are in the area, miss all you guys so much. Then October we will head north, with our sights on Cape York in the Dry. (Our son is in Bamaga)

Hi Guys, That looks real nice and here we were tinking you were doing it tough in the cold south of Qld...
Had two visit yesterday and all hell broke lose, smile! well it could have but they were very well behaved. Just sat around and talked, G had a ride on the back of the quad to the loo and back looking at the view as we raced along. D went for a paddle in the Indian Ocean .. Very cool stuff..
We are still at the same spot doing SFA and thats as it should be.. Will be moveing south as soon as the owner gets back from gold prospecting. MAYBE as we dont know, its to hard to think just now with all the excitment of yesterday still swiming around in our heads..
Hope you are good and warm. stay safe.. BnBnJ.....

Hi All , Well how things change , There is room for 60 odd vans here at Quobba Blow Holes . BUT had a visit from the ranger and have been told we have to go.! No we arnt making any noise or mess ,havent punched any one in the nose. used @*&%## words ( not that it didnt pass my mind) We have been here for too long! 3.2 months . Last year we stayed at the 40 mile wa for 4.2 months. We hate making camp ,its a pain , just like to get set up and then enjoy the sun and sunny sun.
So have dicided to pack the camp and mossey on home. Next year we will go to some place that wants us to spend our money at their shops.. In Queens land....some where..
WA you arnt being nice to GNs that just want a quite winter in the sun, we do have money to spend....
a sad Bob n Bev....n jackie .. she will now go into a winter hair change again, poor thing ...

Dot its always good to see you n George . There is a lot of sand there and their Quobba is not that big, and its getting smaller. We are now at the 40 mile again did a northen turn at the crossroads instead of a southern one...
Who knows what will happen . This 28 day thing has put every thing up in the air, not only for us but most we talk to..
Will be here for 2 weeks anyhow, then see what the weather is at home..
Catch up soon.... Bob n Bev...

"tanks" here--- Good to hear that you made it to 40 Mile Beach this year. I'm very disappointed that I am unable to get there and spend a little time in the warm Nor-West instead of the cold Wheatbelt.
Say g'day to Leon for me. He is always looking for crew on his little boat thing when he goes fishing and looking for crabs and he knows all of the good spots to catch a feed. Load up the car freezer !!.
Have a good time and think of me you lucky people.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Re: Weezanickinoff - aka Ash n Wendy
OK Dotty if you insist I'll tell you about our day of hell the other day,(day after we spoke on the phone Bob!!) We are camped up at Bushy Parker Park a 48 hour free Camp at Rollingstone 20 minutes or so north of Townsville Qld, we have been waiting for our awning to be replaced after a freak tornado wrecked it in Lake Elphinstone in November, we left it til we were in Townsville as we had a Housesit in Airlie Beach and Ken Tame did not recommend the one there.......so we got to Townsville on the 1st of March and had the quote done and Ken Tame agreed that same day, but The replacer (who we will not name here) said that the awning would take 4 days to arrive and they'd 'do' it that week it arrives..............hmmmm well it took 10 days to arrive!! and they wouldn't 'do' us til the 21st!!!
Soooo we have been hovering around the many free camps around fabulous RV Friendly Townsville thank goodness or we'd be buggered! So the first week we stayed at a MSO CMCA 10 min from town but then the rain started and their place is new with landfill camping areas so we thought we better get out before we get bogged, sooooo we hovered....til we finally went to the Rollingstone one, the ranger said we could stay til the awning was done, but only because it is not peak season, so we waited waited waited, till the 21st. this area is one of the highest in all the free camps and we had a good high spot, we thought the other day that we'd move forward a tad to get away from the tree as the rain had slowed (6 inched in a week!)and sun on the solar panels would be better...........nope!!!! down we went the back tyres just sunk til the back was sitting on the ground!!. I have a Facebook Group not unlike the comradery of here and one bloke Wayne,...we'd met at both Lake Elphinstone and here, was a local from here and knew the country well having used heavy machinery and knew that if you moved around in the lower reaches of this country you'd sink and disappear so he told us to stay put or failing that go up onto the no through road behind the camp, the ground was not muddy it was course sand and we just happened to go into a strip that was worked around the gutter behind us, 2 foot out and was rock solid. We rang Wayne and he gave us a contact of a Pineapple farmer just over the creek from us and he came and pulled us out with a huge tractor, easy as anything. wouldnt take anything for his help, we had to insist!.....very stressful before that though (I did a video of us getting pulled out on my facebook profile) So we drove up to where Wayne told us to go and we are on Bitumen and high and dry, after the 6 inches of rain we had up to that point it then stopped!!!! Now have only a couple more days and we can have the awning done and we'll be off north but don't know where as there's been so much rain, will decide on Monday afternoon.
Mind you in retrospect it was a good thing, because it would have been a worse situation if we tried to move out Monday morning and then got bogged!!!
There ends the saga of the bogging of our beautiful home !!!!!
