We carry a small Thetford cassette for the same reason the Tote-a-Tank was invented...

Wouldn't we be a force to contend with if the whole lot combined, campervans and caravans. We are all doing the same thing so can't understand why SOME want to keep us all separated.

I have van and the only spare real-estate under it is at either end , now imagine if I fitted a , say 60 ltr , tank under the tail ..................... U(!) Huh !
Or under the front , another big No No !

Me ........ I carry a converted 50Ltr boat fuel tank that I connect to the outlet drain/s and catch the water outside the van, then daily, using a folding hand trolley, I take it to the dump point and empty it.
Yes I know it can be a drag, but when it's part of the rules of that particular site, it's just one thing extra to do.


So sometimes an alternate look at what the Realities Are gives you a somewhat different perspectives.

I don't quite understand, wouldn't you empty the grey tank into the dump point before leaving the campsite? So now the only weight is the tank itself, if you fly that close to the wind as far as weight balance I don't think the weight of a grey tank is your major concern.

I thought that was part of the CMCA set up, members only area complete with dump point and potable water. Even if it's a tank they cart away to empty like they did at a number of rallies we attended, that would serve the same purpose.

My 2 cents worth as it was explained to me at albany you do not need to be self contained to stay at a cmca park if you do not have a holding tank you can have a tote. I asked the question if a 40 liter tote is full how are some people going to lift it up or whatever to empty it was told would not be a problem. Cmca Lnt is now just a farce steve
