Would you not dump on the way in (if required) and then on the way out or are they going to be permanent camps so a few can get in quick and then stay for month.
Seen this a lot where groups will get to a site and then stay for two or three months.

Brian

I beg to differ, you do need to be self contained to stay at a CMCA park. The CMCA Self Contained Vehicle policy is separate from the LNT program. To be LNT accredited you first must have a Self Contained Vehicle with an onboard grey water tank and then abide by extra LNT principles. A Tote tank is specifically mentioned in the SCV policymarashkar wrote:My 2 cents worth as it was explained to me at albany you do not need to be self contained to stay at a cmca park if you do not have a holding tank you can have a tote. I asked the question if a 40 liter tote is full how are some people going to lift it up or whatever to empty it was told would not be a problem. Cmca Lnt is now just a farce steve

A ford station wagon with a 20 liter jerry can of water a porta pottie and a tote qualifies for both Lnt accreditation and meets the requirements for a scv. I repeat my previous comment Lnt is a farce and scv requirements a joke steve

Dare I say even a Holden station wagon would qualify....... but, if they leave no trace then what is the problem?marashkar wrote:A ford station wagon with a 20 liter jerry can of water a porta pottie and a tote qualifies for both Lnt accreditation and meets the requirements for a scv. I think the MAIN idea of the CMCA right from it's inception was segregation ..........
Separate those who HAVE from those who HAVE NOT. Does elitist sound right?
https://www.google.com.au/search?q=defi ... mAWKjKqYCQ
Must be a major headache all the old have not's are getting what the have's have. (hot water, toilets, showers etc)
Getting harder to pick which is which any more!!

How can you put 'Ford' 'Holden' and 'Leave No Trace' in the one sentence. I still can't get the stains out of my driveway.T1 Terry wrote:Dare I say even a Holden station wagon would qualify....... but, if they leave no trace then what is the problem?marashkar wrote:A ford station wagon with a 20 liter jerry can of water a porta pottie and a tote qualifies for both Lnt accreditation and meets the requirements for a scv. Not quite true, your ford station is going to need some serious modifications. Remember all this only applies to CMCA members and their qualifying vehiclesmarashkar wrote:A ford station wagon with a 20 liter jerry can of water a porta pottie and a tote qualifies for both Lnt accreditation and meets the requirements for a scv. A qualifying vehicle is a motorised unit with inbuilt facilities for food storage and preparation, eating and sleeping, and includes vehicles known as fifth wheelers, providing that the fifth wheeler complies with the standards and regulations as set out in the Club's Constitution
Requirements for Self Containment Policy
The vehicle must have installed the necessary fit for purpose manufactured equipment to be considered as self-contained.
Water Supply
The vehicle shall be fitted with a fresh water tank.
Sink
The vehicle shall be fitted with an installed and plumbed sink. Additional sinks, hand basins and shower are optional but when fitted shall be supplied from on-board fresh water tank, and shall be drained to an on-board grey water tank or external tote. The hose from the vehicle to the external tote container must have a levered shut off valve to avoid overflow. Every sink, hand basin or shower fitted shall be supplied with water from the fresh water tank, and shall be drained to a grey water tank.
External showers which are not permanently plumbed into the RV’s grey water drainage system do not comply with this Policy.
Toilet
The vehicle shall be equipped with a toilet, installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions (AS).
Portable toilets: These must be a proprietary brand (AS) portable toilet manufactured for the specific purpose as a
portable toilet.
Waste tank
The vehicle shall be fitted with a waste tank or tanks to receive the wastewater and sewage from all permanently installed fixtures.
Grey water
If a vehicle has a portable (temporary) grey waste water tank (tote), these must be a tank that is specifically manufactured for the purpose of collecting grey water. These are permitted of filling and discharging of grey water from the vehicle to the disposal point as long as the vehicle discharge point has a permanently installed shut off valve, and the drainage pipe to the tote is water tight.
Rubbish
A sealable container to hold rubbish.
Requirements for LNT accreditation
LNT accreditation is available to all owners of qualifying self-contained RVs who are a member of an RV club, including companies that hire self-contained RVs in Australia.
Applying for LNT accreditation is a simple process and free to club members; all you need is a qualifying vehicle that has the capacity to retain all waste within the confines of the vehicle, and agree to leave no trace whatsoever of your visit to a site.
To qualify, vehicles should carry a minimum of 20 litres of fresh water, have a grey water holding tank with a minimum capacity of five litres per person or 15 litres per person if the vehicle is fitted with a shower, and have a portable toilet cassette or black water holding tank with a minimum capacity of the smallest portable toilet cassette.
How does it work?
Participants sign a declaration to abide by an 11-point Code of Conduct whilst travelling and are identified by an LNT certificate affixed to their vehicle. A strong fleet of LNT certified vehicles will go a long way towards assisting CMCA in its endeavours to ensure that existing areas remain open and new areas are introduced for access by self-contained RVs.
Sadly your ford station wagon won't be eligible

Who is going to check. Scv you can buy at a camping shop everything you need to have a scv. Maximum outlay 200 dollars and bolt it into your ford/ commodore wagon and away you go. bus Lnt accredited never been checked by anyone you can Lnt accredit anything and I mean anything getting back to the scv you do not need to be scv outside a cmca camp so when you turn up at the gate you will be given a tote instant scv qualification and in you go that's fine what if fifty units turn up needing totes will we have a tote raffle winners get to be self contained for 3 days or will we have turns being self contained or will you have to go out of the camp and wait for the next raffle. As the cmca board just said to me at albany Lnt is just a code of conduct not enforceable and all the pretty little stickers on your windscreen don't mean a thing steve
