Just started raining here after being overcast all morning.

Maroochydore is also copping heavy rain. Thank the stars for a huge library on the hard drives.
Our tenure at the local State School is coming to a close on the 27th Jan, and we're heading south to Caloundra. Lucky we filled up with diesel last year. FYI various chapters of the CMCA book the school grounds a week at a time, allowing one to stay for the entire holiday period at $10 per night, power and water supplied. No water jokes please.

Which school?

Maroochydore Primary, Pikki St Maroochydore. next to that huge shopping centre. Another good thing, the local council provides free bus rides for the xmas/new year period. We caught air con busses from the shopping centre up the the Emundie markets, then to Noosa to see the trendies and the mansions, then another bus ride down the coast back to maroochy. Very nice day.

Wet wet wet here still. 640mm in the last 4 days, might slow down later today as the low heads south. When our creek comes up it overflows into a drain to join another creek and comes over our causeway. Can drive over it but no use as there is nowhere to go, the roads around us are all cut at this stage. We keep enough supplies to last a week or more including petrol for the genset if the power goes out (which it normally does as soon as it floods & ERGON can't get out to fix it) but so far so good. Highway is still cut, Will probably be mowing Friday, joy o joy

Just Love your pictures OHhh to see green grass again, although not nice the damage to the town, just havent seen things so dry this time of year here, not even in the drought, imagine if this area goes into winter with no pasture growth. so for us all here it's time to pray for rain.
