Don't think you'll be going anywhere this week Bernie!!
I wonder if it might pay to have a separate air cleaner for the compressor air inlet to reduce the suction PSI? (vacuum)
Something like on a normal workshop air compressor. As long as it can be installed up a bit higher out of the road dust swirling around.
On the other hand if the rings don't get some oil ...................
Are they just splash fed or engine oil pressure to the main bearing. ??
Pressure Bruce , that hole on the bottom of the Compressor is the oil pressure inlet you asked me about it a while ago I didn't think it was at the time.
Bernie
Obviously lots of experience in the CIB branch Steve?
It's called fabrication!!!
Better see if you can fix up my Facebook image? !!
Sometimes I just gotta laugh at some shops security cameras! Not sure exactly how a perp can be identified.

What a lot of FFFFFFFFFFnfun that was. They was a sneaky little oil line I missed this day but its out .Took a bit to spot it .
Yesterday removed the pump gear with the help of a twin puller only two hole in the gear wheel , when it let go it frightened the bejesus out of me hit my glass's then landed on my knee...I survived .
Todays pic's .
Bernie .
Nearly forgot there is about a 1/8th" movement on the compressor pump shaft up and down . Good thing I didn't just do a top end fix..

Looks good Bernie. You'll have to try to install it in an easy to get to place so you can watch the level & empty it without mess when needed. Might need hose that is oil resistant and won't suck flat when it gets warm.
How did you get those finger nails so clean? Gloves when on the job?
