There is a group of us on this forum & elsewhere that WERE members and we did want to desperately change the direction of the organisation.
The only way to get it 'done' was to band together and try to gain as much support as we could to get a person elected that would change that direction and rid the club of a couple of directors who were quite sure they owned the club.
As soon as this group banded together to achieve this, they were branded as "rebel raisers" and denigrated in no uncertain terms.
Yep, change is possible but at most of our ages, is it worth the effort?
In my case and several others I know .......... it wasn't.
Thanks for your effort Keith! We did get you there!!
Enough of this.......... not many years left to get out there & do it............!!![]()

I voted for Keith the last year was in CMCA and was heavily harassed via email on the old forum, because of advocating online voting for all decisions. They hated me putting on the forum the facts regarding the difference between an incorporated body and corporation, how members had lost all control over the club and no longer had a say. So they banned me from the forum and threatened me with legal action if I didn't toe the line, so said stick it.
A supposed club which threatens its member with legal action because they put forward ideas which were not in the interests of the board, is not a club, but a corporate dictatorship. The only way an Aus wide club today can work, is if it's on line and everyone has a say and votes on all decisions, otherwise all you're doing is feeding profit growth, the ego's of the board and the growth of a another corporate monopoly.
