Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Welcome to the forum James & Maureen good to get that first post out of the way isn't The price of LPG by the bottle or from the bowser in some of these out of the way places is getting to be a real strain on the finances for quite a few travellers, just finding the stuff can be quite a job sometimes. We have fitted a few household inverter fridges along with the lithium battery upgrade because of the gas price issue and the fact the 3 way fridge really struggles in the hot weather. $45 every 10 to 14 days works out to around $1400 just for the gas each yr, under $1,000 for a 250ltr inverter fridge and separate inverter to power it from the house battery. The other $400 would buy enough solar panels to run the fridge, makes you take a second look eh

Ummm..... you've got a 3 way fridge in your brand new Avida and they drag way too much power to run off batteries and solar.
I've only got till Monday to get all the extra jobs completed and the battery and wiring installed before the next job is on the door step and the next one 2 weeks after that. You told me you is homeless early Oct and if you wanna p*ss off before ya buy another place I doubt I can squeeze a fridge swap in as well

A person may fail many times, they only become a failure when they blame someone else John Burrows
Those who struggle to become a leader, rarely know a clear direction forward for anyone but themselves
$50 plus is generally the cost of a 9kg bottle in the outback. Several years ago whilst in Sandstone WA the one and only fuel station told $52 per 9kg so I left 2 bottles to be filled, when I returned they tried to get $80 per 9kg bottle. After some discussion I ended up being ripped off for $60 per bottle. And then they slugged me extra for using my card.
TT line charges $13 to use your card for a ferry ticket and many other business are doing that to, that';s why i carry cash as much as I can. But it doesn't help with the ferry, as you can only book online with your card.

Well, prior to Cunnamulla, the most I have paid for LPG was $42... and I thought THAT was Highway Robbery!
I agree that where you have lots of customers as well as LPG outlets, competition will ensure lower prices.
I can buy a refill at home for $19.
But MORE THAN DOUBLE that?
The local Supagas outlet on Stoney Rise, Devonport Tas does 9kg bottles for $15 on Fridays, Haven't refilled there but they have a sign out the front
