Actually, the Aussie one is the strangest, Gas is just a shortened form of gasoline, but petrol could be considered a shorted form of petroleum, but petroleum covers the whole spectrum of products derived from crude oil .....

SWMBO had an interesting internet experience yesterday.
Op Shop had an electric-powered breast pump donated. (Retail price: $280!)
As it was such an unusual thing to sell s/hand, she decided to advertise it on a ‘buy, swap, sell’ web page (with several local editions) on Farcebook.
The ‘b’ word was not accepted on a few of the locations but OK on others. To have the item accepted, she had to amend the wording to ‘nursing mother’s feeding aid’.
Prudery unlimited is so frustrating.
