Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

No, I rarely play on Saturday.
Next week is the boys weekend away.

Morning all.
20mm predicted today.

Nothing else planned except watching golf of TV. and a bit of housework.

The neighbours have their house for sale. Interest has been low. I think they may have over capitalised during the Reno. And people might be wondering about the easement and things.

George, how is the eye and shoulder? Any improvement?

Good morning everyone. If we're lucky it might get to just 27⁰ today. It's been a bit hotter the past few days. Hasn't been much fun outside.
I've managed to do not very much, since we got back home. Just a bit of whipper snipping mainly. Might get into it today.
Anyone heard from Shirley recently? She hasn't checked in lately.
Safe travels all those out and about. If it's flooded, forget it.
Cheers

Taggerty neighbour, or city neighbour?

Friends are putting their home on the market in Bentley East (Moorabbin). Even though they renovated yrs back and have solar on the roof etc, they reckon it won't change the price they get at all. They believe that who ever buys it, will demolish it and build town house. I asked why they weren't going to do that themselves, they know people up the road that did that, moved into the front townhouse and sold the others. Apparently, parking is the problem, so they want out of the area. Looking at buying near Echuca, acreage, newer house, he can transfer his employment there, and have cash in the bank ......

Muggy day, 2.7mm rain over night and today strong NE winds so no surfing or bike riding as the wind speeds have got over 45kph so far and the forecast is for 20-40mm tonight, with trees dropping dead branches already and don't want to come in contact with any of those even small ones whilst riding. But they are wrong lots of the time about rainfall where I live, forecasting rain but nothing comes, then saying it won't rain and it pours all day. It's the constant night rain and morning misty rain and fog which is intriguing, but it's in accordance with what's happening to climate and warming.

The theory goes as we live on the edge of the southern ocean and it's warming up quiet fast, leading to more evaporation. When the heavily water laden air hits sth Tas and the warm rising currents coming off the land, the rain condenses and drops down as misty rain and fog. The other morning we had a huge sea fog, which dropped visibility down to around 10m and was so wet, was saturated by the time I jogged to the gate, Bindi hates getting wet and dropped her business and headed back inside before going very far and stood on the veranda with a big smile on her face when I got back looking rather drowned. At least can finish clearing out the workshop and get the bike and side car inside so can put them together. If anyone interested, can post some photos of the operation, which should be interesting as have never done it before, but owned 2 outfits. So will be relying on side car forums and youtube for help, tuning it will be the hardest bit expect, but may be lucky and get it first time.

Looking forward to your thread on fitting the sidecar. I remember, at one of the World's end Rallies, an overland BMW "outfit" that had a sidecar built onto it like it was a truck construction, but the wheel on the outfit also drove if required to get through sand or mud or up sand dunes etc. Their photo albums showed some amazing places they taken this thing throughout the world, river crossings you wouldn't even dream about in a 4 x 4, up moving mud mountain trails and snow covered slopes where they were lead to believe there was a road, climbing to the top of sand dunes to camp for the night and making their own road through flooded paddocks to get around stranded vehicles .... I remember envying them at the time, now that just about every part of my body hurts in some way, I'm glad I didn't subject my body to that sort of torture

Back when we were young and silly a mate had a big outfit, was russian from memory and it sort of looked like a BMW engine.
Another memory was that left hand turns were best taken slowly and even slower if you didn't have an occupant in the sidecar, it's not good when said sidecar is above the riders head!

Good morning everyone. We've had steady drizzle here overnight, interspersed with some heavy showers. I'll check the gauge later.
Didn't get much done due to the inclement weather. But I did assist in putting up Christmas decorations. Yes, it's December folks.
I'm hoping you enjoy the bacon and egg this morning Bernie.
Peter, I think that may have been a Ural outfit. Look a lot like a BMW.
Don't think it's going to be much of a day here.
Safe travels everybody.
Cheers

Those Urals go anywhere they drive the chair wheel and have a reverse on some of them and they haven't changed much in decades made in Ukraine I believe. Driving a side car is a great experience and you have lots of fun, safer and more manoeuvrable than car or bike. Used to put 2 kids and big German shepherd in the chair with ex behind me, had some great trips. Hoped to unpack the chair today, but have to many other pressing things to do so it will have to wait a day or so.

Bit of a storm last night, trees down everywhere, 49.7mm rain and at 0234 recorded 157kph wind and wind gauge survived. Have to clean up today, got a couple of trees down across tracks and branches everywhere. Will use the backhoe and push everything into a piles then cut it up for future firewood.
