Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
Tomatoes grow great in hydroponics and that's definitely wet feet Growing pumpkins is a feat I am yet to achieve, great vines, lots of flowers, no pumpkins.
Had a crack at spray repainting one of the gas tanks in the wind and wild weather yesterday, the day before I tried brush painting and it looked like it was done by one of the great masters, the brush strokes and different shades, all from the one paint pot, so I thought spraying it might return better results .... fortunately the side bin doors will cover it ..... it possibly looked better with the brush strokes

Terry, if you want to grow pumpkins, you need to keep the runners up off the ground and don't use any sprays on anything. Pumpkins need bees or blowflies to pollinate. Round-up is the best way to kill bees and thereby your chances of getting a decent crop.
You can pollinate them yourself, but it must be a moonlight night and it's bloody tedious.
Hydroponic tomatoes taste pretty ordinary, if you want my opinion. Just ask the bloke that makes my sauce.

That would be me.

All our tomatoes and pumpkins are from previous meals and grew from the compost ..... do you have to offer the pumpkin flowers candy before you violate them in the middle of the night
Tomatoes are for holding pepper and salt and grated cheese on top, or making spag bog, and the flavours involved there have very little to do with the tomatoes
Do you add chokos and apple to your tomato sauce Dave, or is that a well kept secret that you aren't even sure of these days

G'day one and all, my tomato plant is doing fine along with a pumpkin looking thing that I was given but the cherries are once again turning brown and falling off the tree. So far the grapes are still there until the birds know they are there. Boysenberry and blackberry vines also ok for now. I did my prunes at the gas mans reception today. Rang x 2 last week and they said they would ring back both times but as usual 0 so today they copped it, I reminded them he was working for us and how rude the man was not to even respond. G is having his op on the 3rd of Dec and he has his cough still so I requested a longer pre op check than their usual 10 second chest listen to out side the ot door? this time the nice lady sent the gas man an email and he replied to her that he would ring me today hmmm shall see. .17 deg right now and chilly. shower time.

Terry, I know exactly what amount of every ingredient that goes into my sauce, and yes, it is a secret.
All you need to do with the pumpkins is play the moonlight serenade. It's not that challenging.
Cheers

Good morning.
I spent most some of yesterday working on the motorhome...I had noticed what I thought was a rust bubble..so I decided to clean it up and sandpaper the area... picture at bottom of post...it grew...I need suggestions on a fix... normally there is a hump on the front roof of these hinos.. mine has it at the back...to accommodate the raised bed in the ceiling and it's that rear that wasn't fixed down properly...
I picked three tomatoes and they are ready for eating all nice and plump...I love tomatoes... but I don't like or use tomato sauce... when we bought our place there was a pumpkin taking over the back yard and into the vacant block behind us...I picked 28 pumpkins.. gave most away there was no way we could eat that many...
Back about twenty years ago I grew most of our veggies hydroponically... mainly because I worked away..it was easy for Carol to handle...it was all automatic..
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Thanks Jon...whats the name of that spray ?
Its not as bad as the photo shows..the ruff looking bit around the back is a fiberglass matting...not rust.
Bernie.
Mix up a resin mess with fibreglass 'chop strand' in it. Keep on pushing it in the cavity so it fills it up and wait till it dries. slowly build it up until it can be faced of and bogged. It's a mongrel thing to with with. sharp and hard to smooth down.
Good morning All. 22* with max 26* forecast.
I have just returned from Dr's appointment regarding results of EEG test which was performed on 19th September. All is fine, just need medication to stop the amnesia/mild epilepsy events.
It has only taken some 4 months to reach this conclusion.
